Detailed Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bukavu, Eastern Congo
fter breakfast, embark on a trip from Kigali to Bukavu passing via the Cyangugu Border. Upon arrival, check into your lodge. In the afternoon go for a nature walk to Mbayo tea plantation or take a local community tour visiting the Bukavu town. Dinner and overnight at Orchid safari Lodge. (Luxury/Mid Range)/Hotel Horizon (Budget).

Day 2: Lowland Gorilla Tracking in Kahuzi Biega – DR Congo
Early in the morning, go for the memorable adventure of trek to see the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National park. The hike is one of the most interesting ape watching adventures in the world. You are advised to follow the lowland gorilla trekking protocol which was set by the IUCN while tracking these apes. After gorilla tracking, you can go for a nature walk in the Kahuzi Biega park and visit Tshibati waterfalls. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, embark on your return trip to Kigali passing via the Cyangugu border.
